Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale looks set to miss the Champions League elimination round against city rivals Atletico after tests uncovered he has a tear to one side calf.
The 27-year-old Wales global endured only 35 minutes of Sunday's El Clasico thrashing to Barcelona before limping off.
A short explanation from Madrid affirmed the degree of Bale's damage, saying: "Taking after the tests completed on Gareth Bale by the Sanitas Medical Services, the player has been determined to have a review 2 harm in his left calf.
"His recuperation will keep on being surveyed."
Reports in Spain say Bale is presently confronting three weeks on the sidelines, which would preclude him of both legs of the Champions League tie - on May 2 and 10 - and also La Liga apparatuses against Deportivo La Coruna, Valencia and Granada.
It is the most recent blow in what has been a disappointing effort for the previous Tottenham man, who has been struck around a few wounds, including a three-month lay-off prior this season with a lower leg issue.
