Feyenoord: 'Everyone laughed' at Dirk Kuyt's title claim

Dirk Kuyt says "everybody chuckled" when he said Feyenoord could win their first Dutch title since 1999 when he came back to the club two years prior.

Be that as it may, the 36-year-old commander's expectation materialized on Sunday as his cap trap saw the hosts beat Heracles Almelo 3-1 to secure the Eredivisie.

Also, on Monday, the previous Liverpool forward drove the parade as a great many fans celebrated in Rotterdam.

"This is the best snapshot of my vocation," said Kuyt.

He included that the title bested his appearances for Liverpool in the 2007 Champions League last and the Netherlands in the 2010 World Cup last.

"I knew when I returned two years back that we could win the title and everybody snickered at me when I said as much," said Kuyt.

"At the point when Feyenoord were in the top portion of the alliance everybody used to celebrate. When we drew 1-1 with Ajax individuals were moving on the table.

"That shouldn't occur - you ought to just be fulfilled when you are winning trophies."
