Simeone to hold talks on Atletico Madrid future next week

Atletico Madrid head mentor Diego Simeone says he will hold chats on Monday to elucidate his future with the club.

The 47-year-old wants to mentor Inter in future and has been vigorously connected with a move to San Siro for most of the season, gossipy tidbits which have escalated since Stefano Pioli was sacked on May 9.

The previous Argentina global recommended at a current media occasion for the 2017 Audi Cup that he would be accountable for Atletico when that pre-season rivalry starts in August.

Notwithstanding, Simeone says he will talk with CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin and specialized chief Andrea Berta before reporting any choice.

"We're completing the season and I'm certain that, on Monday, Miguel, Andrea and I will meet to take a gander at what we can expect later on and obviously to search for what the best would be for the club and for everybody," he told a news gathering.

"The bases here are strong. We've had six years of contending in an extraordinary route, with a change of stadium that will compel us to make a move to bring considerably more achievement."

Sunday's last LaLiga match of the season against Athletic Bilbao will be the last played at Vicente Calderon, with Atletico moving into their new 70,000-seater Wanda Metropolitano stadium for next term.

Simeone, who went through two spells with Atleti as a player before returning as mentor in 2011, trusts the fans give a fitting end to life at the old ground.

"My recollections as a player are stunning," he said. "I came here and I found an acknowledgment among the fans some time before I began to offer things to the club and to the group.

"Both as a footballer and a mentor, the Calderon has been a place that will remain ever.

"The stadium will flabbergast [on Sunday]. The fans will have the capacity to encounter the last LaLiga diversion, in spite of the fact that for me the last essential amusement at the Calderon has as of now happened, which was the Champions League semi-last where we were thumped out yet beat Real Madrid."
