Official: Manchester United confirm signing of Daniel James

Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Swansea winger Daniel James, with the Welshman signing a five-year deal at Old Trafford.

United have announced a few days ago that they have reached a final agreement with Swansea City to sign the player, pending completion of the final details of the deal.

The 21-year-old has been officially unveiled as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first summer signing on a five-year deal, with the option of a further year, having undergone a medical at United's Carrington training base last Thursday.

The club's official website said Wednesday that James had already signed a contract with the Red Devils.

According to some press reports, the value of the contract with James cost 15 million pounds.

"We are very happy to have him, because he is an interesting talent and has extraordinary vision, skill and speed," said Ole Gunnar Solskjær.

"He has a very good season with Swansea City, and now we look forward to working with him and helping him continue to develop."

The 21-year-old has scored five goals and made 10 Assists in 38 games with Swansea last season.
