Messi opens up the Dortmund defence with a throughball into the left inside channel. Griezmann gets behind Piszczek before striking first time into the bottom-right corner, leaving Burki no chance. 




51' Messi weaves his way through the Dortmund defence, but sees his chance to shoot closed down by Burki. He goes down in the box as the keeper fails to gather the ball cleanly, only to see the referee book him for simulation. 
 
48' Dortmund have to stem the side of chances. That was a let-off for the German outfit and they now need to clamp down on the hosts.



45' + 2' HALF-TIME: BARCELONA 2-0 BORUSSIA DORTMUND


33' GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!! MESSI IS CLINICAL IN THE FINAL THIRD!!! 2-0 BARCELONA!! Dortmund are the architects of their own downfall allowing Messi to strike. Hummels gives the ball away straight to De Jong, who finds Messi. The Argentine and Suarez combine with a neat one-two to allow the former to find space in the left inside channel. He fires his effort low past Burki and beyond the outstretched leg of Hummels covering on the line.




 
32' PENALTY SHOUT! Griezmann goes down in the box as he tries to latch on to a pass from Messi. The referee does not give a penalty before Dortmund get themselves in a tangle and Witsel has to clear in the six-yard box.

29' GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!! SUAREZ SCORES THIS TIME!!!! BARCELONA 1-0!! Messi and Suarez are not to be denied a second time as the Argentine tees up his team-mate to dispatch his strike from close range. The ball falls kindly for Messi on the edge of the box and he plays a fine pass for the Uruguayan, who fires a low shot past Burki into the bottom-left corner. 


 




21' DISALLOWED GOAL!! Suarez believes that he has handed Barca the lead, but the goal is disallowed on the pitch by the linesman for offside. The Uruguayan moves too soon from Messi's perfect pass into the box before slotting his effort past Burki. VAR confirms the decision.

19' Barca regain possession from Witsel, who stays down. However, the home side are unable to capitalise as Dembele's cross is claimed by Burki. 
 
18' Messi glides down the right flank and beats two challenges with ease, but he loses his footing before he can provide a quality offload into the box.
14' Dortmund are trying to keep possession in the Barca half to take the pace out of the home side's attacks. It's going to be a battle all evening for the German outfit
 
12' Messi plays the ball into space for Dembele and he cuts inside to shoot from the left inside channel. He tries to connect on his right foot, only to slice his attempt at Burki.

9' Messi runs at the Dortmund defence, but gets brought down on the edge of the box by Weigel. Barca have a free-kick in a dangerous position for Messi to strike at goal.

7' BLOCK! Messi works the ball down the left for Dembele, who squares a cross into the box for the run of Rakitic. The veteran goes for the strike first time, only to be denied by the body of Akanji. 
 
5' Dembele tries to weave his way through the Dortmund defence, but he gets halted and has to offload to Rakitic. The midfielder almost finds room in the box, but he gets crowded out before he can turn and shoot.

2' SAVE! Dortmund break on the counter as Brandt leads the charge through the middle of the Barca midfield. He offloads to Hakimi on the right right flank and fires into the middle. Schulz is forward, but he sees his close-range effort saved by Ter Stegen before he slides his effort on the rebound wide of the post from the ground.
