Everton announced, via its official website, the dismissal of Portuguese coach Marco Silva, one day after the team lost in the derby match against Liverpool (2-5).
This match was the last chance for Silva, after the poor results of the team since the beginning of the season.

The 42-year-old Silva has been overseeing Everton's training since last year, having come to him from Watford with great expectations.
It is worth noting that Everton occupies the eighteenth place in the league standings, in a season in which the results are further diminished, despite the management's good support to Silva in the summer, with several deals.
