Borussia Dortmund vs FC Schalke 04 Live Score

63' GOOOAAAAAALLLL!!!! DORTMUND 4-0 SCHALKE!!! This is a brilliant fourth goal for Dortmund, who have hit the ground running on their return to Bundesliga action. Brandt spreads the ball to Guerreiro and the wing-back exchanges passes with Haaland. With just Schubert to beat, he uses the outside of his left boot to scoop the ball past the visiting goalkeeper.

48' GOOOOAAAALLLL!!!!! DORTMUND 3-0 SCHALKE!!! That should do it! Schalke have started the second half well but they are caught out on the counter. The ball is played forward quickly and Hazard thumps a shot past Schubert from 19 yards after being teed up by Brandt. Once again, the visiting keeper should have been doing a lot better.

47' SAVE! This is a lot better from Schalke. Following some promising build-up play, Serdar gets away a half-defence shot that is too central to beat Burki.
46' RESTART! Schalke get the Revierderby back underway. Will the double change made by Wagner at the interval make any difference?

45' GOOOOOAAAAALLLL!!!! DORTMUND 2-0 SCHALKE!!! Schubert is put under pressure and Dortmund capitalise on his weak clearance. Within about four seconds the ball is played into the path of Brandt, and he in turn feeds Guerreiro to clinically fire across a red faced Schubert into the far corner.

43' It has been a welcome first-half return to action fort Dortmund, largely because Schalke have not really been able to get at their opponents. Harit tumbles on the edge of the box under slight contact from Hakimi, but the referee tells him to get up.
33' Hazard has started this game in an impressive manner. He wins another free-kick for his side, this time from Todibo, but BVB are unable to really make the most of it.
31' That goal should do Dortmund the world of good. It came from their first shot on target of the contest, a couple of minutes after Caligiuri came close to scoring at the other end of the field.

29' GOOOOAAAALLLL!!!!! DORTMUND 1-0 SCHALKE!!! x flicks the ball into the path of Hazard and the forward - a late addition to the starting line-up, sends a cross into the middle. Haaland, as he so often does, makes the finish look easy as he opens up his body and guides the ball away from Schubert.

27' SAVE! Oczipka's cross is only half cleared by Akanji and derby specialist Caligiuri is able to set himself for a shot inside the box. The attempt is on target and Burki makes a save with his outstretched leg.
26' SHOT! This is pretty much the first sight of goal Haaland has had. Brandt swings in a cross from the right, Hummels misses it and Haaland slices his shot into the side-netting from the back post. Prior to that, the Dortmund striker squared up to Todibo ahead of a corner. Social distancing, lads!
24' Hazard plays the ball through the legs of Serdar and wins a free-kick from the Schalke midfielder. Hakimi takes on the set-piece from 25 yards but can only pick out Nastasic in the wall.
22' Dortmund have had 63 per cent of the ball, without yet managing a shot on target. Again, that is understandable given the fact it has been more than two months since they were last in action.

21' Schalke have failed to score in all four of their Bundesliga away games in 2020 - this last happened between September and November 2001. They last went on a longer goalless streak away from home between April and September 1998 (five games).
19' Hazard initially does well to skip a challenge and carry the ball towards the box, only to misplace his pass in the direction of Hakimi. The hosts are having more joy down the right than the left so far.
17' BLOCK! Guerreiro, on his weaker right foot, gets an angled shot away but it is blocked behind by Sane for a corner. Dortmund are definitely starting to step things up now following a fairly quiet start.

17' BLOCK! Guerreiro, on his weaker right foot, gets an angled shot away but it is blocked behind by Sane for a corner. Dortmund are definitely starting to step things up now following a fairly quiet start.
15' Hakimi is played into plenty of space down the right and squares the ball into the six-yard box. Credit to Schalke defender Todibo, though, as he slides in to cut out the cross and one of his team-mates clears.
13' Dortmund have a chance to swing in a free-kick from a wide area, but the flag goes up for offside. There is a brief pause for the referee to check in with the video assistant referee because of Kenny's possible handball infringement.
11' This match almost has a pre-season feel to it at the moment. Dortmund are 14 points better off than their bitter rivals, but you cannot really tell that on the basis of the opening 11 minutes.
9' Hazard, a late addition to Dortmund's starting line-up, holds off his man and decides to have a go from a long way out but can only pick out the empty stands.
7' There is an eerie feel to this game, but that was to be expected considering it is being played at an empty ground. Dahoud concedes a free-kick around 25 yards from goal, only for Caligiuri to pick out the wall with his effort.
5' Picking up from where he left off prior to the two-month break, BVB striker Haaland exchanges passes and drives into the box, but Schubert pounces on the ball.
3' Harit drives through the lines and plays the ball to McKennie, but the American midfielder loses possession on the edge of the Dortmund box.
2' Reyna has been denied a full Bundesliga debut by that untimely injury in the warm-up, then, but Dortmund do at least have plenty of cover in the attacking areas. Both sides are taking it in turns to knock the ball around in the early stages.
1' KICK-OFF! Dortmund get us up and running at a pretty much completely empty Signal Iduna Park. There has been a late change to the home side's startling line-up, with Hazard replacing Reyna, who picked up an injury in the warm-up.
