Burnley vs Tottenham Live Score

90' + 5' FULL-TIME: Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

90' + 2' Tottenham have conceded more 90th minute goals (including stoppage time) than any other Premier League side this season (three), with the previous two of these costing them maximum points (1-1 v Newcastle United, 3-3 v West Ham).
90' + 1' There will be a minimum of four minutes of added time.
90' McNeil stays down for an extended period after a challenge with Lamela, giving Tottenham the opportunity to run the clock down and then finally kick the ball out of play.
M. Vydra
A. Barnes
Burnley
89' Another change up front for Burnley. Vydra replaces Barnes.
88' Tottenham keep the ball smartly on the left, but Sissoko then looks for a big switch to Doherty and Burnley get the ball back.

86' Great work again from Lloris! A slightly deeper McNeil delivery tempts the goalkeeper from his line but he catches smartly. Exactly what Tottenham needed.
86' Rodriguez wins another corner by the flag from Sissoko. Another Burnley chance.
85' Lloris does really well to come for McNeil's corner and claim. It is again aimed towards a packed six-yard box but this time hangs in the air long enough for the goalkeeper to gather.
85' McNeil immediately looks to target Rodriguez, playing from the right, and Davies knocks the ball behind for a corner.
J. Rodriguez
J. Guðmundsson
Burnley
84' An attacking switch for Burnley as they look to rescue a point. Rodriguez, a striker, replaces winger Gudmundsson.
83' Much better from Tottenham! Lo Celso and Son work the ball nicely on the left of the area, the former then picking out Lamela on the opposite side. He controls on his chest and shoots too close to Pope. The visitors finally have some invention in the box, as evidenced by the goal.
82' Kane and Son have now combined for 29 Premier League goals, with only former Chelsea pair Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard managing more (36).
81' A free-kick from the left is nodded only as far as Doherty, whose cross picks out Lo Celso for a header. The midfielder is close to the edge of the box, though, and his effort lacks power as it falls into Pope's arms.
K. Long
Yellow Card
Burnley
80' Long is late to challenge Son and goes into the book.
G. Lo Celso
T. Ndombèlé
Tottenham Hotspur
79' Carlos Vinicius was ready to come on until Son scored. Instead, Lo Celso replaces Ndombele in a more conservative switch.
78' Tottenham have something to protect now and it is all hands to the pump in defence. Davies misreads Taylor's cross but so too does Gudmundsson and the ball bounces behind.
H. Kane
Assist
Tottenham Hotspur
76' It is that Kane-Son combination again! Kane's header to create the opportunity is brilliant and is then matched by Son's finish.

76' GOOAAAALLLL!!! SON! 1-0 Spurs! Out of nothing, they have their goal! Tottenham's set-pieces have been so poor throughout, but Kane directs a right-wing corner back towards goal and Son heads into the top-right corner. Huge goal!

H. Kane
Assist
Tottenham Hotspur
76' Assist Harry Kane
75' McNeil loses out to Hojbjerg and Tottenham can break again. Son moves the ball on to Lamela, who feeds Kane on the right. A rather optimistic attempt at a shot is blocked, but Kane shields the ball to win a corner.
74' Great defending! This game is starting to open up. Son darts into the box but delays before shooting and Long makes an excellent challenge to deny him as Pope rushes out.
73' Finally some attacking intent from Tottenham! Lamela delivers a teasing cross and Davies is charging in at the back post but just unable to make contact.

69' Doherty is starting to get some joy on the right, but Ndombele cannot get enough purchase on a flick from the latest right-wing cross. The right-back needs more men in the middle.
68' Alderweireld just gets back to Wood! Westwood picks out the striker in the area and he looks to control and execute an acrobatic volley. Alderweireld recovers well, though, and ensures Wood cannot make contact.
67' Another Tottenham set-piece comes to nothing. Burnley are working hard to protect their goal, but Spurs have been really disappointing.
66' Slightly better from Tottenham. Doherty's angled ball finds the chest of Lamela, who lays the ball off to Kane. The striker looks to go down the outside but lacks support in the middle and instead settles for winning a corner.
65' Lamela's corner is easily dealt with and Burnley have the opportunity to break until a poor pass on the right allows Sissoko to step in when Wood is waiting unmarked in the centre.
65' With Spurs lacking an attacking threat, Dier charges up from defence. Kane drops deep and teases in a cross, but Tarkowski is up to nod behind ahead of Dier.
63' This just about sums up Tottenham's day! Doherty finally finds a man in the Burnley box, feeding Son, but the winger's low cross bounces off a defender, back against his own leg and behind for a Clarets goal-kick.
61' Good block! Burnley work the ball really nicely as McNeil finds Wood just inside the box, the striker in turn touching the ball off to Brownhill. Brownhill shapes to shoot and instead squares to Westwood, whose powerful drive is charged down by Davies.

59' Tottenham appeal for a backpass as Pope collects Brownhill's interception, but the referee is not interested. Spurs need something to fall their way right now, as they do not look like creating anything.
E. Lamela
Lucas Moura
Tottenham Hotspur
57' Here is the first change, but Bale remains on the bench. Lamela is on for Lucas.
56' Westwood delivers a corner from the left and Tarkowski gets up highest, but he mistimes his jump and heads tamely behind.
56' A sight of goal for Barnes! Wood knocks the ball down to his strike partner on the edge of the box, but Barnes takes a moment to steady himself and Alderweireld steps out to mkae the block.
54' This game is showing little sign of improving. Wood is offside at one end, but then Kane is flagged from the resulting free-kick. Lamela is readying himself for Spurs.

53' Kane controls a long ball from Alderweireld and then goes down in the area, but the whistle has already gone as the Tottenham number 10 pushes Lowton to the ground from the initial pass.
51' Tottenham are still struggling to create a chance, with their attack simply too slow. Taylor's cross from the Burnley left comes to nothing, but Lucas fails to exploit the space behind the retreating left-back, instead looking to Kane, who is closed down.

49' Davies escapes! His pass to Sissoko is behind the midfielder, allowing Brownhill to step in and drive forward. He drags his shot wide, though.
47' Burnley start the second half on the front foot, but Long has to make a well-timed interception as Ndombele picks up the ball on the left and looks for Son in behind. That at least gives Tottenham the chance to build again.
46' KICK-OFF: Tottenham get us back under way!

45' + 3' HALF-TIME: Burnley 0-0 Tottenham

45' + 1' There will be a minimum of three minutes of added time.

44' SAVE! Lloris again gets down well! Gudmundsson dances inside past a couple of challenges and gets plenty on the low shot, which skids off the surface. Lloris has it covered, though, and dives down to his left.

43' No Burnley player has attempted more passes than goalkeeper Pope (15).
43' A deep corner reaches Doherty at the far post, but he simply nods the ball back into the hands of the waiting Pope.
42' Lowton runs the ball behind for a corner under pressure from Kane. A chance for Tottenham late in the half.

41' Tottenham like the ball in behind this rather sluggish Burnley defence, but Pope is out quickly this time to sweep up ahead of Lucas and Son.
40' Burnley are enjoying a better spell. Gudmundsson has the opportunity to play an unmarked Wood in on the left-hand side of the penalty area, but the cross from the right is too strong.

37' Coming into this fixture, Tottenham had kept just two clean sheets in their past 28 Premier League away games, both in goalless draws last season against relegated sides in Bournemouth and Watford.

36' Brownhill takes the set-piece himself but blasts over the crossbar.

32' Another teasing Tottenham ball is well dealt with, this time Tarkowski twisting to volley Doherty's delivery away. Spurs look at their most dangerous when they break at speed, with Burnley dealing with these crosses fairly comfortably.

30' Davies gets forward on the left and cuts a smart cross back to Son. However, the winger is quickly crowded out, his first touch pounced upon and smashed clear.

28' Spurs still stay patient, but their ponderous passing allows Burnley to get into position and defend resolutely. Doherty's low ball from the right is cut out.

26' Tottenham break through Sissoko, but he picks the wrong pass - going right to Moura when Son was steaming up to his left - and Spurs have to start again, keeping the ball for a couple of minutes a long way from the Burnley goal.

24' Moura runs onto a lofted ball in behind, then turns back and picks out Hojbjerg on the edge of the area. He has men up in support but plays a poor pass behind Doherty.
24' Taylor is taking no risks. Moura is staying high and wide on the right, offering an outlet, and the Burnley left-back is simply launching the ball clear at every opportunity when the play comes his way.
23' The foul on Son gives Tottenham a free-kick in a great position, but Davies takes, rather than the Korean, and fires a poor cross straight out of play.
22' Awful from Pope! He has had a few issues with his kicking already this season and gifts the ball straight to Son. The ball does not fall kindly for the winger, who has to beat Lowton before he can shoot towards an empty goal and is instead brought down.
21' OFFSIDE! Barnes has the ball in the net, but he is comfortably offside. It is a good ball in behind the Tottenham defence by Brownhill, yet the visitors move up smartly to catch Barnes out. The flag is raised only after the Burnley man lashes a low finish beyond Lloris.

19' Son delivers Tottenham's first set-piece to the near post, but Burnley clear at the second attempt.

18' Tottenham counter from a Burnley free-kick and Moura looks left to Davies. The left-back attempts to squeeze a pass into the box for Ndombele but earns a deflection and has to make do with a corner.

17' Alderweireld's knock disrupted the game and we are still waiting on a first chance of note.

15' Barnes runs onto Wood's knockdown 30 yards from goal, with Alderweireld still making his way back into position, but the striker rushes his shot and slices well wide.
14' Alderweireld is now sporting a bandage but looks to be fit to continue.
11' Alderweireld is down and receiving treatment after a clash with Barnes in the air. The Burnley forward's arm catches his opponent in the head, drawing blood.
10' Ndombele is keeping busy. He has contested three duels so far and won all of them, while also making two interceptions.

8' Brownhill's early booking for Burnley after 63 seconds was the earliest in a Premier League game since Scott McTominay against Newcastle United in December 2019 (24 seconds).
6' A nervy moment for Pope. Ndombele profits on a slip in the middle of the pitch and frees Moura down the right. He has Kane and Son up in support, but a low cross is deflected goalwards. Pope gets down to the ball but has to gather at the second attempt with Kane closing in.
4' Good goalkeeping from Lloris! A deep cross from the Burnley left finds Gudmundsson, who heads the ball back towards goal. Wood attempts to beat Lloris to the ball, yet the Spurs skipper punches and wins a foul from his opponent.
3' Alderweireld plays a searching ball over the top of the Burnley defence, which Kane runs onto. The striker's touch takes him a little wide, though, and a speculative lob drifts over Pope's crossbar.
J. Brownhill
Yellow Card
Burnley
2' A really positive start from Ndombele prompts the first booking. The Tottenham midfielder charges down the left, skips past Brownhill and is then fouled.
