30' The 19-year-old Williams comes on for Fabinho, who can't continue. Looks like it might be a hamstring issue, though he was able to walk off without assistance.

27' Minamino almost steals in behind as he takes a nice first touch from Henderson's pass, but Sviatchenko gets between him and the ball as it runs behind to the goalkeeper.

23' Alexander-Arnold does really well as he dribbles into the area from the right, getting between five defenders. He looks to pick out Minamino with a deft outside-of-the-foot pass, but Sviatchenko cuts it out and clears.

22' Both teams have been guilty of some pretty sloppy passing so far tonight. Cajuste side-foots the ball straight out of play inside his own half, but Liverpool don't take the opportunity to spring an attack.

20' Alexander-Arnold chips the ball in behind from the resulting free kick, which is in a central position. He tries to pick out the run of Henderson towards the left post, but he overhits the set-piece.

19' Scholz is shown the first yellow card of the match for fouling Jota as he looked to get in behind.

16' Kaba is working really hard to press the Liverpool back line when they have possession. They're having to hurry their build-up play, and aren't looking all that comfortable on the ball after some recent wobbles.

14' Alexander-Arnold puts in a good low cross from the right, but it bounces awkwardly and Minamino can't get a touch as he twists to turn it goalward. Andersson puts it behind to deny Shaqiri, who was lurking at the back post for a tap-in, but the corner is cleared.

13' Alexander-Arnold delivers another free-kick from the right. It's a flatter delivery this time, aimed towards the right corner of the six-yard box, but Scholz dives to head clear.

12' Liverpool are looking to record back-to-back wins in their first two games for only the second time in the Champions League group stage. They last managed it in 2008-09, beating Marseille and PSV.

11' Alexander-Arnold whips in a free-kick from by the right touchline. He shapes it nicely onto the penalty spot, but it's headed clear.

10' It hasn't been a fluent start from Liverpool. Gomez looks to pick out Jota with a crossfield ball from left to right, but he gets it wrong and the ball flies into the stand.

9' Paulinho cuts onto his right foot from the left and crosses towards Kaba, but Gomez gets ahead of him and makes a firm headed clearance.

7' The visitors win a free-kick on the right, just beyond the corner of the penalty area. Sisto looks to pick out Scholz with a disguised low pass around the wall, but he overhits it and it fizzes through to Alisson at his near post.

3' Midtjylland should be ahead! Liverpool's high line is picked off by a long ball forward from the centre-back Scholz. It's nicely weighted and Dreyer carries it into the area after breaking in behind, but Alisson gets out to smother his finish.

2' Liverpool start positively, working space for Alexander-Arnold to cross from the right. He lifts the ball in with the outside of his right boot, but it's a simple catch for goalkeeper Andersen.
