Everton
90' + 2' Calvert-Lewin, who has not had the most enjoyable of games, hacks down Vestergaard after the centre-back had played the ball and referee Friend rightfully books the striker.
90' The fourth official indicates there will be a minimum of five minutes of added time as Hasenhuttl's team head towards victory here at St. Mary's Stadium.
89' Diallo is released by Redmond and then tries to return the favour but his pass is greeted by a wall of Everton defenders and cleared away.
D. Nlundulu
C. Adams
Southampton
89' Adams, who grabbed the second goal and has been a nuisance all game, is brough off for N'Lundulu.
87' Ings finds room on the edge of the area and evades the pressure of Bernard, however, the England striker cannot hit the target as he curls a shot well wide of Pickford's goal.
I. Diallo
S. Armstrong
Southampton
86' Armstrong, who had a wonderful goal ruled out for offside in the first half, is replaced by Diallo.
85' Redmond and Armstrong again combine to win a corner on the left, this time via a deflection off of substitute Gordon.
84' Ward-Prowse nearly has a chance to grab his second as Romeu floats a chipped pass over the Toffees' defence, however, the Saints captain cannot quite bring the ball down and it trickles through to the hands of Pickford.
83' Adams rounds Mina before opting to play sensibly towards Redmond, who then retains possession and goes backwards. Hasenhuttl's side appear content to protect their 2-0 lead and see this game out.
81' Armstrong makes the wrong decision to shoot from range as Redmond was bursting through on the right. The former's shot didn't trouble Pickford as it was blocked before reaching him.

80' Gordon rolls in Calvert-Lewin down the left but Saints' centre-half pairing combine to shelter the striker away from goal before clearing for a throw-in.
78' SAVE! Pickford makes a great save to tip Vestergaard's header over the crossbar after the centre-back had managed to get on the end of Bertrand's inswinging corner.
77' Armstrong attempts to slide in Adams on the edge of the area, however, Allan is on hand to slide in and clear the danger for a Saints corner.
75' The game is at risk of boiling over as Rodriguez has a little hit out at Bertrand after a foul near the halfway line. Referee Friend is slowing down proceedings and trying to manage the game to calm it down.
74' After Richarlison's red last week, Everton make it 98 red cards in the league; five more than any other side in Premier League history.
L. Digne
Red Card
Everton
72' RED CARD! Everton make it back-to-back red cards as left-back Digne is given his marching orders! He was racing after Walker-Peters and managed to end up stamping on the back of the right-back's ankle from behind. The French full-back waves his arms in the air as he leaves the pitch but replays do not help Digne's case as the tackle looks even worse.
71' Digne has not one but two attempts to bring down Walker-Peters and it looks like the second challenge was a nasty one in the middle of the park.
70' Walker-Peters is left on the floor after a late tackle by Bernard. The Brazillian needs to tread carefully after already being booked.
69' Redmond coasts past Godfrey and Gordon before playing in Armstrong, who cannot provide that clinical pass through to Ings as Mina intercepts.
67' Digne makes it to the byline and attempts to cross towards the head of Calvert-Lewin. Bednarek and Vestergaard have different ideas as they stand firm to head away consecutive crosses.
66' Everton are enjoying far more possession in this second half, however, it still feels like if any team is going to grab a third goal it will be the Saints on the counter-attack. Ings, Adams and Redmond continue to cause Mina, Keane and Godfrey so many problems up top.
Bernard
Yellow Card
Everton
64' Bernard receives the second booking of the game after catching Romeu late near the centre circle.

64' Bernard receives the second booking of the game after catching Romeu late near the centre circle.
62' CHANCE! Ings should make it three from inside the six-yard box as he looks to latch onto Armstrong's driven cross but misses the ball completely! The English striker just had to get the slightest of touches for a tap-in into an empty net.
61' Romeu nicks possession away from Allan, which means the hosts can launch a counter-attack through the middle. Eventually, the move finds Ings, who is tackled by Keane and the chance is gone.
59' There is a bit of a scramble in the area after Bernard rounds Romeu but Rodriguez cannot apply the finishing touches and Hasenhuttl's side clear the danger.
F. Delph
G. Sigurðsson
Everton
58' Sigurdsson, who hit the crossbar in the first half, is brought off for Delph.
A. Gordon
A. Doucouré
Everton
58' Youngster Gordon replaces Doucoure as Ancelotti looks to chase the game.
58' Godfrey feels he is fouled by Redmond on the right-hand side and then takes his frustrations out on the winger by returning the favour and bringing him down.
K. Walker-Peters
Yellow Card
Southampton
57' Walker-Peters is cautioned for handling the ball as he attempted to block Digne's cross wide on the left.
57' Digne attempts to cross on the left only for it to be blocked by the raised arm of Walker-Peters before it can reach the area.
56' Calvert-Lewin cuts a frustrated figure up top after Doucoure fails to slide him in. Redmond then counter-attacks down the other end and shoots well wide of the target with his right foot.
54' The Toffees have never won a Premier League game when trailing by 2+ goals at half time (P67 D4 L63).
52' The hosts appeal for a penalty after Bertrand is brought down by Godfrey but referee Friend disagrees and insists the game plays on. VAR has a quick look at it and decides to stick with the referee's original decision.
51' Rodriguez and Bernard work a corner short before crossing towards Mina, who deflects a header wide of the target. However, none of that matters as Rodriguez had wandered into an offside position from the short corner routine.

49' Every time Romeu receives the ball he has two or three Everton players rushing towards him but he seems to be managing the pressure, this time feeding Ings, who plays in Adams before the move breaks down.
48' Allan and Digne exchange a few choice words with the officials after a throw-in decision goes against them around the halfway line.
47' Godfrey has the beating of Redmond, who then carelessly slides in and brings the Everton defender down near the right-hand touchline.
46' Both teams are back out and referee Friend gets the second half underway!
Bernard
A. Iwobi
Everton
46' Ancelotti is not waiting about to try and change the game as he makes his first substitute at half-time, with Bernard the man to replace Iwobi.

45' + 1' HALF-TIME: SOUTHAMPTON 2-0 EVERTON

45' There will be one minute of added time as the first half, which Southampton have dominated, heads towards its conclusion.
44' Ings takes three Everton players out of the game with a drop of the shoulder near the right-hand touchline but then fails to releases Adams over the top with a right-footed curling pass.
43' Doucoure cannot get near to Armstrong quick enough and therefore has to give away a free-kick to break up play deep in the hosts' half.
42' The visitors earn consecutive corners which their captain, Sigurdsson, takes but both come to nothing as the Saints' defence stand firm.
40' Southampton think they have a third goal as Armstrong curls a right-footed effort into the left-hand corner from 25 yards out. However, the assistant on the far side has his flag up to indicate Adams had strayed offside in the build-up to the goal.
39' Digne attempts to cross towards Calvert-Lewin but Bednarek steps in and clears long.
37' In his 117th Premier League appearance, this is the first time Ings has assisted twice in a game. He has also scored in four of his five appearances in all competitions against the visitors for Southampton, netting four goals; he only has more goals against Spurs (5) than he does against the Toffees.

35' GOALLLL!! 2-0! Ings pops up on the left wing, shifts possession onto his left and crosses towards the back post. Sigurdsson misses the headed clearance, which gifts Adams the chance to slam home under Pickford with his right foot!

D. Ings
Assist
Southampton
35' Assist Daniel William John Ings
33' Redmond again has success down the left, this time he reaches the byline before chipping a cross back across goal which seems to clip the top of the crossbar. However, no one is on hand to challenge Pickford when the ball drops down off the bar in the six-yard area.
31' It is hard to argue against the fact that that goal was coming, Southampton have had the majority of possession (60%) and have kept having joy down the left wing through Bertrand and Redmond.
29' That opening goal is Ward-Prowse's first Premier League goal from inside the box since November 2019. It also moves him to joint-ninth in the all-time list of scorers for the Saints.

27' Ings finds a pocket of space, takes a touch and then slides Ward-Prowse through in the area before he smashes past Pickford.
J. Ward-Prowse
Goal
Southampton
27' GOALLLL! 1-0 SAINTS! Ward-Prowse races into the area before driving past Pickford with a right-footed effort towards the far corner. Initially, Ings had done well to bring the ball down and poke a throughball to the Saints captain.

25' There is a bit of animation on the touchline from Hasenhuttl as Walker-Pieters is hacked down by Sigurdsson wide on the right. Referee Friend sees it as nothing more than a free-kick and play carries on.

22' Armstrong gets his feet in a tangle and scuffs his shot in the area after some good work down the left.
21' Doucoure and Calvert-Lewin put Bednarek and Vestergaard under pressure which forces them to play backwards. The hosts then work the ball forwards to Adams, however, he cannot find any space and again, has to look to play the wrong way.
19' OFF THE BAR! Rodriguez switches the play to Sigurdsson, who cuts in on his right foot and unleashes a curling effort which smashes into the crossbar. The goalkeeper was left rooted to the spot and Saints are lucky for the woodwork to have saved them there.
18' Everton are insistent on pressing in numbers, however, the hosts are manipulating possession well and often working through the press before the visitors can get a foot in.
16' Rodriguez beats the wall with his left-footed free-kick but McCarthy makes a comfortable save as the shot is straight at him in the centre of his goal.
15' Sigurdsson slides in Calvert-Lewin, who is clattered from behind by Bertrand and the visitors will have a free-kick 25 yards out in a good position.
14' Everton then go down the other end and earn a corner via Iwobi's deflected shot, but again, their short corner routine comes to nothing.
12' WIDE! Bertrand races down the left-hand side and then drills a low pass to Redmond, who can only drag his left-footed effort from inside the area just wide of Pickford's far post.

10' Iwobi latches onto Godfrey's deflected cross and the winger then reaches the byline before crossing low towards Calvert-Lewin, but Bednarek steps in and concedes a corner.

8' Allan underhits a pass backwards which allows the chance for Ings and Adams to attack, however, Everton regroup in numbers and the opportunity goes away.
7' Doucoure intervenes in the middle of the park before dancing around two Saints players. The French midfielder then feeds Iwobi on the left wing but the move breaks down as McCarthy comes out to claim a cross.
5' Though they lost their 100% winning start to the season last time out, the Toffees are looking to remain unbeaten in each of their first six games for only the third time in the Premier League era, also doing so in 2006-07 and 2013-14.

3' Bertrand is fouled on the left wing which gives Ward-Prowse the chance to deliver a set-piece. Keane heads the Saints' captain's free-kick over the bar and the hosts will have the first corner of the game, which comes to nothing.
2' The visitors needlessly give the ball away inside their own half but Redmond cannot capitalise as Allan steps in to intercept.
1' Referee Kevin Friend blows his whistle to get the game started on the south coast!
