Brighton vs Liverpool Highlights

90' + 7' FULL-TIME: BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION 1-1 LIVERPOOL

90' + 4' Liverpool have faced two penalties in a Premier League game for the first time since February 2018 v Tottenham.
90' + 4' Five minutes were added on, incidentally, so there is still time for Liverpool to score a winner when you factor in the time added on to that.
P. Groß
Penalty Goal
Brighton & Hove Albion
90' + 3' GOOOAAALLL!!! BRIGHTON 1-1 LIVERPOOL!! With Maupay off the pitch, it is left to Gross to take the penalty. He takes no risks, blasting the ball right down the middle with Alisson diving to his right. It is all square at the Amex Stadium!

Alisson
Yellow Card
Liverpool
90' + 3' Alisson is cautioned for attempting to delay the taking of the penalty.
90' + 2' PENALTY TO BRIGHTON! Referee Stuart Atwell goes across to the screen to check the incident and points to the penalty spot. What a huge moment this is - a second penalty for Brighton right at the end of the game. The question is, who takes it?
90' + 1' PENALTY SHOUT! Robertson, in attempting to launch the ball clear, kicks the boot of Welbeck. The officials are going to check this for a penalty, though it would be incredibly harsh if the officials give it.
89' Alisson's goal-kick runs straight through to opposite number Ryan. Brighton get the ball forward but Trossard miscontrols the ball.
87' Gross' dipping corner is dealt with by Firmino at the front post. Brighton are finally starting to ask some questions of Liverpool's defence.

85' That is now two goals Liverpool have had ruled out for offside, although it must be said that both decisions were ultimately correct. Brighton have a lifeline but time is not on their side to find an equaliser.

83' GOAL DISALLOWED! Mane peels away to glance Robertson's deep free-kick past Ryan but it is ruled out quite quickly by VAR for a clear offside.
B. White
Yellow Card
Brighton & Hove Albion
82' White gets some of the ball but his boot catches Jota on the shin and the referee reaches into his pocket.
81' NEARLY 1-1! March swings in a good cross from the left, Jahanbakhsh misses it and Robertson turns it over the crossbar from close range. I'm not sure how much the Liverpool full-back knew about that!
80' Brighton have looked incredibly disjointed pretty much ever since Connolly was withdrawn. He was offering a lot in the final third and Albion are struggling to find an out-ball now.
79' Klopp, having already made all three changes, is a relieved man as Phillips is okay to continue.

78' Phillips lands awkwardly and is in a bit of pain. It looks as though the Liverpool defender will be able to run it off, but Klopp is watching on anxiously for now.
77' Liverpool now have a back four of Jones, Phillips, Fabinho and Robertson. Brighton are not really putting that makeshift defensive quartet under any pressure, though, registering just two shots of any sort in the second half.
75' SAVE! March whips a free-kick around the Liverpool wall but Alisson has no trouble in getting two hands to the ball.
C. Jones
J. Milner
Liverpool
74' Milner is the latest player to leave the field with an injury. Jones is brought on and may be asked to fill in at right-back.
73' Oh dear! Milner is the latest player to pull up. Klopp predicted this would happen, and the German may now be forced into another change. Welbeck is also down with a head injury.
A. Jahanbakhsh
A. Lallana
Brighton & Hove Albion
71' Lallana, barely on the field for 10 minutes, has been replaced by Jahanbakhsh. The ex-Liverpool midfielder clearly picked up another injury because he jogged straight down the tunnel.
71' White heads Milner's corner clear at the front post. Liverpool have had 69 per cent of the ball in the second half.
70' Firmino's long-ranger ricochets off March for a corner. Brave defending from March, but Ryan would have had it covered.
69' Brighton are really struggling to get their foot on the ball now. Potter appears to be readying another change with time running out to find a response.

67' The onus is on Brighton now to get at their opponents and find an equaliser. The visitors are knocking the ball around under little pressure at the moment.
65' Liverpool forward Salah barely even looked in Klopp's direction when leaving the field, though the Reds boss will have next week's Champions League clash with Ajax in mind.
S. Mané
Mohamed Salah
Liverpool
64' Salah does not look happy to be taken off, just like Connolly a minute before him. Mane is brought on in attack.
A. Lallana
A. Connolly
Brighton & Hove Albion
63' Connolly, who has been Brighton's liveliest player today, is replaced by Lallana. A strange decision from Potter, that!
62' PENALTY CALL! Fabinho is a lucky boy. Troassard's cross hits Fabinho's arm and the penalty would have been given had the Brighton substitute not drifted offside before the handball incident.
Mohamed Salah
Assist
Liverpool
60' It is another goal involvement for Salah against Brighton. He knocked the ball into Jota's feet 20 yards from goal and his team-mate did the rest with a brilliant finish.
60' GOOOOAAAALLL!!! BRIGHTON 0-1 LIVERPOOL!! This is brilliant from in-form Jota! He takes a few touches to set himself, dummies a shot and then picks out the bottom-left corner, placing the ball just out of Ryan's reach.

59' Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been directly involved in eight goals in his six previous Premier League appearances against Brighton and Hove Albion, scoring five and assisting three. The Egypt international has already had a goal ruled out for offside today.
57' Brighton work the ball well, spreading it from the right to left, but March hammers a cross high and wide from the edge of the box.
56' Jones and Mane have been sent to warm up by Klopp. Lallana also looks as though he will be entering the fray at some point. The game is going through another one of its quiet spells.
54' SAVE! Welbeck nips in front of Henderson to steal possession, takes it past Fabinho, then away from Henderson for a second time, but his shot is straight at Alisson. Still, that was good play from the former Arsenal man.
52' Minamino goes through Connolly and does not get any of the ball. The referee gives the Liverpool attacker a talking to but does not reach into his pocket.
51' The ball is slipped into the feet of Jota in a left-sided position inside the box. He looks to pick out a team-mate with his pass but the ball goes right the way through the box.
49' It has been a quiet start to the second half. Liverpool are playing a lot higher up the pitch compared to the first half, forcing Brighton right back.
47' Milner has shifted to right-back, where we know he can do a job, and Henderson will slot in alongside Wijnaldum.
46' RESTART! Brighton get us back under way at the Amex Stadium. Will the half-time change make any difference for Liverpool?
J. Henderson
N. Williams
Liverpool
46' Klopp had withdrawn young right-back Williams, who gave away the first-half penalty, with skipper Henderson on in his place.

45' + 2' HALF-TIME: BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION 0-0 LIVERPOOL

45' + 1' Veltman catches Firmino on the boot, winning none of the ball, and is the first player to be shown a yellow card.
45' Brighton midfielder Bissouma is okay to continue playing. Only two minutes have been added on at the end of the first half.
44' Bissouma has sustained a hip injury and is being looked at by the Brighton physio. The referee is likely to add on a good three or four minutes at the end of the half because of the stoppages.
43' SAVE! Jota cannot quite bring the ball under control in the box to get a shot away. It does drop to Minamino to strike from further out but his shot is easily handled by Ryan.
42' The game has gone a little quiet over the last few minutes. It has been an entertaining match so far and it will be all to play for in the second period.
41' Neal Maupay is the first player to start a Premier League game, miss a penalty, and be subbed off before half-time since Arsenal great Dennis Bergkamp against Derby County in April 1998.
39' Welbeck muscles his way past a few Liverpool players but drags a shot wide from a tight angle at the end of the run. He should never have been allowed to get as far as he did.
38' A penalty miss and a goal ruled out for offside - it has been a lively first half in this first Premier League match of the day. Liverpool are definitely growing more and more into the contest.

36' GOAL DISALLOWED! It does not get much tighter than this. Salah's toe was in an offside position and the goal has been chalked off. It remains 0-0 at the Amex Stadium.

34' GOOOAAALLL!!! BRIGHTON 0-1 LIVERPOOL!! Firmino lifts the ball over the top and Salah gets between two defends to race through on goal. He sends a shot bobbling over Ryan to seemingly give Liverpool the lead, but it will be checked by VAR for a possible offside against Salah.

28' Liverpool have lost their way since making a strong start to the match. Klopp does not look at all happy down on the touchline.
27' Connolly is causing Liverpool's defence all sorts of problems. He brings the ball down in the box and his shot is blocked by Robertson. VAR checks for handball but Robertson had his arm by his side.
L. Trossard
N. Maupay
Brighton & Hove Albion
26' Brighton bring on Trossard, who has himself spent some time on the sidelines, for the injured Maupay.
24' Three minutes after missing from the penalty spot, Maupay has left the field with a hamstring injury. Brighton are playing with 10 men for the time being as Trossard gets ready to come on.
22' Maupay is in a bit of pain and has hobbles to the sidelines. It looks like a hamstring problem, which will surely bring an early end to his game.

20' MAUPAY MISSES! What a poor attempt this is from Maupay! He sends Alisson the wrong way from the penalty spot but fails to find the target. Yet another let off for Liverpool!

20' PENALTY TO BRIGHTON! Bissouma flicks the ball into the path of the lively Connolly. Williams tries to get a foot to it but instead takes out his opponent inside the box and referee Stuart Atwell has an easy call to make.
