Manchester United vs Arsenal Live Score

90' + 5' FULL-TIME: MANCHESTER UNITED 0-1 ARSENAL

H. Maguire
Yellow Card
Manchester United
90' + 4' Maguire is booked for dissent after Cavani had fouled Gabriel near the left-hand touchline.
90' + 4' Nketiah gets in between Lindelof and Matic but he only has one thing on his mind as he heads towards the corner flag to retain possession and kill time.
90' + 3' Matic gets on the end of Maguire's cushioned header and the Serbian midfielder hits a half volley on his right foot but it is far too tame to test Leno and the German then falls on the ball to waste a bit more time.
90' + 2' Elneny presses on his own and forces Lindelof into making a mistake and gifts Arsenal a throw-in, which will allow them the chance to waste some valuable seconds in the dying minutes.

90' + 1' Rashford battles to win a corner on the right, which he takes but Nketiah meets the cross and heads out for a United throw-in.
90' There will be four minutes of added time as this game at Old Trafford heads towards its conclusion - will Arteta's side clinch a vital three points or will Solskjaer's men steal some thing late on?
89' Rashford is going nowhere but Maitland-Niles foolishly fouls the England forward to offer United a late set-piece. Shaw, for the third time, doesn't beat the first man with his free-kick and Arsenal's defence stands firm.

88' It is now almost eight men at the back as Thomas gives away the ball as he attempts to coast through the middle of the pitch under the pressure of three red shirts.
P. Aubameyang
Yellow Card
Arsenal
87' Aubameyang gets booked for slowly wandering off of the pitch when he was substituted.
S. Mustafi
P. Aubameyang
Arsenal
87' Mustafi comes on at centre-back to replace Aubameyang, meaning there is only one recognised Arsenal attacker left on the pitch.
A. Maitland-Niles
Willian
Arsenal
86' Maitland-Niles is Arteta's next defensive move as he brings off Willian in an attempt to protect their 1-0 lead.
85' OFF THE POST! Leno is left standing as Elneny deflects Van de Beek's right-footed cross into the near post! Replays show that the initial cross deflected off of the head of Leno before it cannoned into the near post.
84' Matic plays a good one-two with Van de Beek and looks to be in on Leno's goal but Gabriel produces another great tackle to avert the danger.
84' Bellerin produces a great sliding tackle to intercept Cavani's pass with Pogba ready to pounce and advance into the box behind the Spanish full-back.

83' Pogba sens a cross towards the back post but Leno comes out authoritatively and deals with the aerial threat by claiming the cross.
82' Arsenal have 11 men behind the ball as they look to see out this game that has 10 minutes to go. United are looking for an opening but seem to lack any real creativity to break down Arteta's two banks of four.

80' Out of seemingly nowhere Holding is down clutching his calf and it looks like his game could be over as the medical team rush on to tend to him.

79' Matic dances past Thomas in the middle of the park and Arsenal's new signing smartly brings him down to stop United from progressing further. Rashford then pulls the trigger from the right-hand side but fires well over the bar, thanks to a deflection off of McTominay.
78' McTominay attempts to find Shaw with a diagonal pass but Bellerin does well to intercept. United then earn a corner on the left but Shaw doesn't beat the first man with his outswinging corner.

76' Nketiah is Arteta's next change as the young English forward comes on to replace Frenchman Lacazette.
D. van de Beek
Bruno Fernandes
Manchester United
75' Van de Beek comes on in place of Portuguese Fernandes as Solskjaer looks to chase the game.
E. Cavani
M. Greenwood
Manchester United
75' Greenwood, who was just booked for his foul on Lacazette, is replaced by new signing Cavani.
74' Aubameyang ends a run of five Premier League games without a goal, scoring with his first shot on target in his last three games in the competition.
73' Holding and Leno tease United's forwards as they stall in possession and are a tad lucky that Pogba can't quite bring Holding's loose pass towards Bellerin under control as it goes out for an Arsenal throw-in.
72' Looking back at Greenwood's tackle, it looks like he did fairly win the ball but it was perhaps the follow through after which Dean deemed unacceptable.
M. Greenwood
Yellow Card
Manchester United
71' Greenwood is cautioned by Dean after flying into a late slide tackle on Lacazette on the edge of Arsenal's area.
70' Arteta is on course to become just the second manager in Arsenal’s history to win both of their first two games against United, after Herbert Chapman in 1925-26. The last Gunners manager to win their first away game against the Red Devils was Billy Wright in May 1963.
P. Aubameyang
Penalty Goal
Arsenal
69' GOALLLL!! 1-0 ARSENAL! Aubameyang does the business from the spot, sending De Gea the wrong way as he places his penalty into the right-hand corner to open the scoring.

67' Lacazette holds up possession well before playing Thomas as Arsenal manoeuvre the ball from side to side as they attempt to carve an opening.
65' Tierney forces De Gea into punching his left-footed whipped cross and the loose ball falls to Elneny, who fires both high and wide from the edge of the D.
64' Holding, Willian and Bellerin do well to beat United's press on the right-hand side before the visitors work it all the way out to Tierney on the left. However, United then intercept which allows Pogba to break, only to then be tackled by Gabriel on the edge of the area.

N. Matić
Fred
Manchester United
62' Fred, who was booked in the first half, is brought off in the middle of the park for Matic.
61' Holding does well to intervene before Rashford can latch onto Fred's throughball. United then appear content to work possession around the back as the game reaches the hour mark. Which manager will budge first and look towards the bench to change the game?
59' Thomas finds a bit of room in midfield and slices across a shot, which tests De Gea but the Spanish goalkeeper comfortably handles it before looking to send the ball down the pitch.
58' Shaw does well at the back post to head away Tierney's cross with Willian breathing down his neck ready to head towards De Gea's goal.
58' Pogba sends Bellerin and Willian the wrong way but then sends a pass to no one up top and it trickles through to the feet of Leno in Arsenal's area.
57' Tierney and Aubameyang are on different wavelengths as the Scottish defender attempts to play a pass down the line, but Aubameyang has made a different run and United easily regain possession.
55' Bellerin shows his annoyance at referee Dean after he deems the Spanish full-back to have pushed Pogba over and awards United a free-kick. The resulting free-kick, from wide on the left, goes just wide as Maguire heads back across the face of the goal.
54' Rashford has been fairly quiet here so far. Since scoring twice against Arsenal on his Premier League debut in February 2016, he hasn’t netted in any of his last nine games against them in all competitions, including five starts in this run.

52' WIDE! Lacazette dispossesses Fred and then slides in Aubameyang, who runs round the pass and then attempts to curl one into the far corner past De Gea. The Spaniard in goal looks beaten but Aubameyang's effort goes just the wrong side of the post!
51' Much to the frustration of the visitiors, referee Dean gets in the way as Arsenal start moving possession quickly which means play has to stop and then the game restarts with Elneny being dropped the ball in the centre circle.
50' Saka buys a foul off of Wan-Bissaka on the left, which will allow Arsenal the chance to gain a bit of a breather and some composure after United's fairly fast start to the second half.
48' Tierney needlessly gives possession away which allows Greenwood the chance to attack. Eventually, the chance falls to Wan-Bissaka, whose right-footed shot is deflected out for United's second corner of the half.
47' As the sides come out for the second half it looks like United have referred back to their 4-2-3-1 formation, with Greenwood, Fernandes and Pogba behind Rashford at the top.
46' Both sides are back out at Old Trafford and referee Dean gets the second half under way!
46' McTominay flies into Aubameyang early doors near the centre circle before Fernandes' right-footed effort is headed over the bar for a United corner.

45' HALF-TIME: MANCHESTER UNITED 0-0 ARSENAL
44' CHANCE! Saka has a free header as he gets on the end of Bellerin's right-footed cross near the penalty spot but heads just over the bar. Willian had initially done well down the left to create the room for Bellerin's cross that found Saka.

43' Rashford has the Arsenal defence concerned as he chests down a loose ball and looks to shoot. Dean has different ideas as he insists that Rashford has handled it and awards the visitors a free-kick inside their own area.
42' The visitors again invite United to press them high up the pitch and play through them, however, this time Saka can't get the final vital touch to slide in Willian as they break over the halfway line.
41' Bellerin does well to find Willian out wide on the right-hand side but the Brazillian wastes the chance as he looks to cross deep to Saka and sends it out of play for a goal-kick.
39' OFF THE BAR! Willian and Aubameyang exchange passes on the edge of the area, with the latter flicking a pass towards Willian, who curls a left-footed shot towards the far post. De Gea doesn't move but the Brazillian's shot falls the wrong side of the bar as it clips the top and sails over.
37' Lacazette is teed up by Aubamayeng at the back post, but the French striker manages to fluff his lines as he completely misses the ball when attempting to take his left-footed shot. Replays show that Lindelof got a little touch on the initial pass to throw Lacazette off his mark.
37' Fernandes, Greenwood and Rashford press as a trio but Arsenal are content to play backwards towards Leno and retain possession with just under 10 minutes left in the first half.

35' Lacazette spins past two United midfielders and plays a short pass to Willian, who attempts to chip a ball to Aubameyang at the back post but Lindelof gets a little toe on the pass to deflect it out of play. Dean fails to see the touch and awards United the goal-kick.
34' The visitors play effectively through United's press, however, the move eventually breaks down as Partey is fouled before Arsenal can progress further up the pitch.
33' Saka makes an audacious effort to switch the play to Willian but the pass is well overhit and trickles out for a United throw-in.
32' The Red Devils are winless in their three home league games so far this season (D1 L2), last failing to win any of their first four at Old Trafford in 1972-73. In fact, United are winless in their last five league games at home, their longest such run since February 1990 (6).

30' Aubameyang is lucky to escape a booking as he slides in late through the back of Fernandes to gift United a set-piece 40 yards from goal. The Portuguese midfielder takes it but Arteta's defence deal with the aerial threat and clear down the pitch.
29' Elneny beats three men with a drop of the shoulder and then tries to release Saka but Wan-Bissaka matches the England international for pace and intervenes before Saka can trouble De Gea.
Gabriel Magalhães
Yellow Card
Arsenal
27' Gabriel pulls Rashford's shirt back as the United forward beats him near halfway and referee Dean deems the foul to be enough to book the Brazillian centre-back.
27' Saka and Aubameyang attempt to link-up but the latter fails to flick a pass around the corner and Wan-Bissaka gets the chance to intervene.
R. Holding
Yellow Card
Arsenal
25' Holding hacks down Pogba as the Frenchman looks to play Rashford through on the counter and the centre-back receives Arsenal's first caution of the game.
24' Wan-Bissaka carelessly gives the ball away and then adds to his woes by fouling Saka near the byline on the left. Willian takes the free-kick but, again, doesn't beat the first United shirt in the area.
Fred
Yellow Card
Manchester United
22' Willian looks to counter-attack from United's corner and Fred cynically stops the move, earning a booking from referee Dean for his efforts.
21' SAVE! Rashford finds Greenwood at the back post and the youngster drives a left-footed shot towards the near post which Leno is forced to save with his feet.

20' Arteta's side have definitely had the better of the opening 20 minutes, with United rarely getting any decent possession, however, the score remains at 0-0 so the visitors have nothing to show for their good start.

19' Tierney looks to find Aubameyang with a curled pass down the line but Maguire is there to shepherd the ball out for a United goal-kick.
17' Greenwood thinks he is in after Fernandes' pass, but the assistant's flag is up for offside, much to the relief of Tierney and Gabriel.
16' Holding clatters into the back of Rashford's head as the centre-back goes up for an aerial duel and United will have a free-kick inside Arsenal's half.
15' CHANCE! Bellerin reaches the byline and fizzes a right-footed cross across goal towards the back post, all Aubameyang has to do it get a touch for a tap-in but he can't quite reach it to open the scoring.
13' Lacazette gets a bit too carried away and brings Fred down near the centre circle which allows United a bit of respite and the opportunity to knock the ball about round the back as they look to work an opening.

11' Saka carries the ball over halfway before Aubameyang and Partey exchange passes outside the area. Saka eventually finds himself in space on the left of the box but can't manage to drag a cross back in the direction of Lacazette at the back post.

10' The Gunners have won two of their last three top-flight games against the Red Devils (D1), as many as they had in their previous 15 against them (W2 D5 L8). Indeed, Arsenal are unbeaten in their last four league games against their opponents, last having a longer such run against them between 1989-1992 (5 games).
9' Pogba looks to break onto Rashford's throughball but the Frenchman is quite clearly well offside and the assistant rightfully has his flag up on the far side.
8' There is a bit of confusion between De Gea and captain Maguire with the latter heading out for a second Arsenal corner, despite the Spanish goalkeeper being stood behind him waiting to catch Saka's deep cross.
7' The first corner of the game comes on the left-hand side which Willian takes, but he doesn't beat the first man and that is easy for United's defence to deal with.

6' Partey tries to fizz a pass into the feet of Lacazette but his touch is poor and United intercept. However, the hosts can't quite make it out their half as of yet and once again, give the ball back to the visitors in the middle of the park.

3' Willian has two attempts to cross but fails to beat the towering pairing of Maguire and Lindelof, making it easy for the centre-backs to deal with the danger and clear down the pitch.
2' Maguire does well under the pressure of Lacazette to remain calm and retain possession, playing through Arsenal's high press as United work the ball from one side of the pitch to the other in the opening stages.
1' Referee Mike Dean blows his whistle to get this Premier League fixture underway!
