Wayne Rooney has been named as permanent manager at Derby County after an impressive spell in caretaker charge.
The former England and Manchester United legend has retired from playing as a result and will now assume full-time managerial duties at Pride Park.
Rooney, 35 led the team temporarily, while continuing to play, but now he will focus entirely on his coaching mission.
Rooney is the historic goal scorer for Manchester United, and he is the historic scorer for the English national team, and he also played for Everton, and moved to Derby County in January of last year.
