Round 36
90' GAME OVER!!!! MANCHESTER UNITED 2-4 LIVERPOOL! It is all over at Old Trafford as Salah races away to score Liverpool's fourth of the night. United lost the ball in midfield as they pushed for an equaliser, and Salah did the rest. He stayed onside and raced onto Jones' throughball before adjusting his body and curling the ball past Henderson. United have four minutes to score two goals, the points should be heading back to Merseyside.
68' GOAAAALLLL!!! MANCHESTER UNITED 2-3 LIVERPOOL - United grab a goal back as Rashford takes Cavani's pass into his stride before rolling the ball past Alisson and into the bottom corner. Fernandes played his part as he and Cavani made their way forward, but it was the former Paris Saint-Germain that split the defence with his pass, allowing Rashford to convert.
47' GOAAAALLL!!!! MANCHESTER UNITED 1-3 LIVERPOOL - Firmino grabs his second of the night as the Reds punish United for some sloppy defending. Shaw was at fault at first as the left-back made his way into midfield, thinking he had all the time in the world, and he was tackled before the ball fell to Alexander-Arnold. The right-back aimed for goal, and Henderson should have made a routine save, but he spilt the ball straight into Firmino's path. The striker tapped home, and Liverpool now have a two-goal cushion!
45' + 3' GOAAALLLL - MANCHESTER UNITED 1-2 LIVERPOOL - Firmino heads Liverpool into the lead, and that goal comes at the perfect moment just before half-time. The Reds were awarded a free-kick, and Alexander-Arnold's delivery was perfect for Firmino. The ball evaded everyone until it reached the Brazilian at the far post, and he smashed the ball past Henderson.
34' GOAAAALLLLLL - MANCHESTER UNITED 1-1 LIVERPOOL - The Reds score from the resulting corner as Jota backheels the ball, beating Henderson on the third occasion. Phillips was the architect as he pounced on the loose ball before dribbling his way around two defenders and going for goal. His effort was going wide, but Jota reacted quickly to flick the ball into the back of the net. GAME ON!
10' GOAAAALLLLLL - MANCHESTER UNITED 1-0 LIVERPOOL - Fernandes fires United into the lead after some poor marking from the Reds' defence. Liverpool went to sleep at the back, and Wan-Bissaka picked out Fernandes. The Portugal international wrapped the outside of his right foot around the ball, but his strike took a double deflection. Both Williams and Phillips look to have got a touch, but it is the latter that has diverted the ball into the net past, Allison.
